Welcome to Gamers of Winter Convention 2009!
On the left are links to the schedule of events, convention rules and other neat stuff. Feel free to poke around the site and come out to meet new players and try new games or bring your group/buddies/pals and play old games! Or both!
Preregistration is encouraged both for attending and for some specific events as listed. Pregistration can be completed at either Adventurer's Guild in Harrisburg, That Game Place in Lemoyne or Pastimes on the Square in Palmyra. Preregistration ends February 12th!!!
EXTRA EXTRA!!! Special thanks to Rich at the Adventurer's Guild for donating a LOT of door prizes for this years Winter event! What do we mean by a LOT? It was a nice hefty box full of a variety of gaming goodies! Door prizes will be awarded frequently during the convention by some method of randomized means (what other method is appropriate for gamers anyhow)! Must be present to collect door prizes before they get randomized off to another gamers seeking such stuff etc.
Admission and Location Information
- Convention admission is $5.00 per day, many events are free or a nominal charge. Doors open at 8AM daily from Saturday February 14th through Monday the 16th (Presidents Day Holiday). Convention is open all day until 11PM(ish) each day for the weekend. Entry may be closed after final event(s) in the evening have started at management's discretion.
- Location is Lakeside Lutheran Church at 245 Division St, Harrisburg PA 17110, between Green Street and 3rd Street (next to Zembo Shrine and across from Italian Lake).
- Lakeside Lutheran shares the adjacent parking lot with the Zembo Shrine building. There is also plenty of parking available on Green and Division Street and other surrounding streets but limited availability in the main lot.
- Site includes a service kitchen for meals and snacks throughout the day and is located very close to numerous restaurants. The Kitchen will be run by the Church Choir to feed meals and snacks all weekend.
